| We were first offered this note raw last year by a notable PA dealer at the November 2008 PCDA. We bought the note and had it graded at the show, where PMG assigned the grade GEM 65 EPQ. This led to our selling the note at the convention, with quite a bit of sellers remourse as I remember.
Fast forward 7 months, we are delighted to have this very note back in our inventory again! For the district, this Philly $500 is tied finest known at PMG. All districts combined, PMG has graded only five 1928 $500s in GEM. (excluding the St. Louis District.) The popularity of the Series, the rarity of the bank, and the monsterous grade make for a truely unique and spectacular offering.
